Crystal grids
A couple of weeks ago on Instagram,
Ritualcravt posted the winners of this amazing giveaway she had been
putting on. The prize was this gorgeous mandala print that her
husband had hand drawn on a lovely gray square of jute cloth, it's
truly a wonderful altar cloth. It also came with 28 crystals as well,
some fluorite and amethysts and beach glass...all kinds of lovely
things.
Well, yours truly is now the very happy
owner of this awesome altar cloth and crystals. Now, I will confess,
I did not use it to cover my altar with, but that being said, the
cloth does not merely have a single purpose, it's uses are many. In
fact, I used mine on Sunday evening for meditation...and boy did it
do some very interesting things. The energy coming from all of these
crystals plus my own at once was overload. I was a little light
headed and kind of spacey but definitely calm and relaxed during the
entire thing (which lasted roughly 20 minutes).
I'm definitely going to use it again
tomorrow, this time a little before meditation and then see how that
works as well. I'm super new to this whole crystal grid thing so I'm
just kind of winging it! If anyone has any recommendations on stuff
to read about them, I would love to hear about them!
It's actually been helping me to do the
grid prior to getting down and dirty with my Wild Unknown tarot deck.
I won't get into a ton of detail because I think I'll do a separate
post about the decks I use but man the Wild Unknown and I started off
a little rocky. We didn't get along well most days and sometimes I
felt like it was doing it on purpose a little bit...
The crystal grid kind of balances the
energy and we seem to be connecting much better lately, so we'll see
how the relationship develops :)
What are your experiences with
different tarot decks? Do you use crystal grids?
