The T O W E R

Hey everyone!
I wanted to start a new series(which has yet to be named), and either it will evolve or it won't but let's see how it sticks.
I know that I just changed up how we do Tarotscopes and I'm really enjoying those (this month's is late, I know, but we needed some extra time with the holiday) and I hope that you are too!
But I wanted to take the tarot, card by card, and talk about how we can apply some of the messages of the card into our daily lives, even those cards that are typically the "bad omen" cards, X of Swords, I'm talking to you!
So, what better a card to begin this with than the Tower!
Everyone hates the Tower, it wasn't one of my favorites before either and I still cringe sometimes when it comes up in readings.
Today, though, I have a whole new appreciation for it...a whole new outlook on it.
Let me back up just a little bit and say this, tarot/oracle cards are a tool...they can't tell us our exact future, they can't predict 100% of the time exactly what is going to happen. They don't work that way. They are a tool to help guide us, to give us the messages we might not be hearing or seeing. To give us some insight on situations or a particular path that we might want to take, to say 'hey, if you took this particular path, this is a good indication of what might happen'..but I never suggest taking a reading as GOSPEL. We all have free will. I pull cards for guidance every single day, I check in with my guides and my higher self, I ask questions constantly about things but I don't base all of my choices upon what cards I pull that day.
So, now that the disclaimer is out of the way, I will continue.
There may come a time in our lives when we make a hard choice, a seemingly crazy choice, one which leaves not only others but sometimes us thinking "REALLY?! are you CRAZY?!"
The Tower speaks to us of unsteady foundations, of unfounded decision making, of change that will come swiftly and violently. It rocks us to the core. So, here is a pondering...another option for you, if you will, that the Tower offers. It asks:
Will you dismantle that which you have built on this broken foundation?
Will you pull it down, brick by brick? Will you be the one to light the match? Or perhaps swing the sledgehammer?
Will you bring about your OWN winds of change?
.....or shall I?

Sometimes change is a hard pill to swallow even when
we bring it upon ourselves. We dread it, we count the days until it's over, we fear, we doubt, we cry...and then one day, after we've done all of that, after we've stopped actively and continuously thinking about it, we embrace it, we adapt to it, we ENJOY it, we learn from it, we realize that there was a reason all along for what we went through.
So, when you're reading for yourself and you pull the Tower (and you know EXACTLY why you did...and you almost always will) remember...the Tower is working WITH you, not against you.
It's asking you to help yourself, to bring your own change, to embrace it and not fight it.
The hardest thing to do when faced with change, especially when we aren't ready for it, is to go with the flow, to not fight the current, to accept that what we have become comfortable with is now a thing of the past. But we can, we can, as hard as it may be, accept that we must surrender to change, that we must embrace it and find the GOOD things, find the LESSONS within it.
